Hot Dog Pizza

How could I not buy this?
This seems like something that American’s would be all over, I could see giant stacks of these selling out at Walmarts across the US, but I had to travel across the pond to England to find such a thing. Despite looks from Courtney, I knew I had to buy this monstrosity, and for the price (less than $2), its not like it put me in the poor house. Mmmmm discount hot dog pizza. The taste? It surprised me with its decentness. Kind of reminds me of eating a corn dog.
Okay, we figured it out.
Okay we are lame. It really wasn’t that hard to fix. Here are the pictures:
Where We Be Live at in Oxford: External Edition

For all interested stalkers, we live in the room with the bay window on the ground floor.
Some people have been asking for pictures of our house, which we actually took and planned to put on our web site a long time ago now. Well, we have run into technical difficulties. We are unable for some reason to upload galleries of images, so until while we sort out a fix or an external service to use, I thought I would at least give you a photo of our house in Oxford. Hopefully we will have more for you soon.

This is our house from the back yard or "garden" as it is called here.
Paracetamoxyfrusebendroneomycin!
You march back up stairs missy!
I saw a 16 year old girl walking to school this morning on my ride home from work. The first thing that ran though my mind was “her skirt is way to short! Who let her leave the house like that!”
I guess I have reached that age.

Trip to DC

My Gran. Pretty Cute huh?
As some of you know, my Gran passed away at the beginning of August. This weekend David and I traveled to Washington DC to lay her to rest along side my Grandfather in Arlington National Cemetery. We celebrated her life the best way we know how, by bringing the family together and sharing our memories. My brother, Mom, Dave and I made a trip to Chestertown, Maryland for a night. We stayed at the Brampton Inn, a bed and breakfast in that we took Gran to several years ago. We made a special effort to get some crab cakes while we were there. They were one of Gran’s favorite foods. Here are some pictures from the weekend:
- Arlington
- Brampton Sign
- There were deer at the Brampton Inn when we arrived
- Mom, Sean and I
- The inn
- The inn from the side
- Cottage that Dave and I stayed in
- Our room
- Dave at the Chestertown waterfront
- Chestertown Street
- Dave and I with a big tree. (It was the state champion of that sort of tree)
- Maggie, Mom, Sean, Dave and the Washington Monument
- Washington Monument
- It’s tall
- Back to Back
- Being silly
- World War 2 Memorial with Washington Monument
- Eagles at the WW2 Memorial
- Lots of spiders call the WW2 memorial home.
- Lincoln Memorial
- Lincoln
- Vietnam Memorial
I am not going to say too much about it, but I do have one parting thought. I was lucky to have spent so much time with my Gran and fortunate that I knew her so well. I am a better person for having her in my life. Don’t waste the time that you have. Grab those people that you love the most and give them a big hug, or call or write to them as often as you can. You can spend every moment of your life with someone and it still isn’t enough. Life is short even when you live to 91.
Sonic, is that you?
I saw a Hedgehog! In the wild!! I touched it too, even though Dave said not too….

Can't be Sonic, he isn't blue.
That is all.
I’m On a Boat!

This was a part of Courtney's attempt to convince me.
So, I lied, I am not on a boat yet, but it looks like I will be. We plan to take a cruise back to the US when we come home in November. Courtney somehow figured out that it would be about the same price to take a Royal Caribbean cruise back home. That’s right, sometimes life is hard, and after a long trip living and traveling in a foreign country you have to take a long, laborious, 2 week luxury cruise that stops in the Canary Islands and Bahamas back home. You can more or less see the stops it will be making in Courtney’s lovely illustration above.
Speaking of Courtney’s illustration (which I received in my email,) it was but one of her attempts to convince me. She is very into this cruise idea you see. There was a small Facebook campaign waged. She literally jumped up and down with excitement telling me we should do it once the idea had congealed some. She even threatened me by pouncing on me while wielding a comb as one would a knife. That was phase one. There were God only knows how many more phases in her twisted mind had I not agreed already. I am told that there was to be at the very least a cost benefit analysis to come in the near future (which would be pretty positive by the way, the tourism industry’s loss is our gain in a recession.)
Bless Em!
My new favorite phrase is “bless em” It’s the newest phrase craze sweeping the ward and I love it! “Bless em” has 3 main uses:
- That patient is such a nice person always brings a smile to my face. Bless em.
- That patient is not feeling very well today. I wish they were doing better. Bless em.
- That patient is a freaking nutcase! They are driving me up the wall and I would rather suck on urinal cakes then deal with them for one for second. Bless em!
Number three is by far my favorite usage. The English say the darnedest things, bless em!
