I’m On a Boat!

August 31, 2009
cruise fun

This was a part of Courtney's attempt to convince me.

So, I lied, I am not on a boat yet, but it looks like I will be. We plan to take a cruise back to the US when we come home in November. Courtney somehow figured out that it would be about the same price to take a Royal Caribbean cruise back home. That’s right, sometimes life is hard, and after a long trip living and traveling in a foreign country you have to take a long, laborious, 2 week luxury cruise that stops in the Canary Islands and Bahamas back home. You can more or less see the stops it will be making in Courtney’s lovely illustration above.

Speaking of Courtney’s illustration (which I received in my email,) it was but one of her attempts to convince me. She is very into this cruise idea you see. There was a small Facebook campaign waged. She literally jumped up and down with excitement telling me we should do it once the idea had congealed some. She even threatened me by pouncing on me while wielding a comb as one would a knife. That was phase one. There were God only knows how many more phases in her twisted mind had I not agreed already. I am told that there was to be at the very least a cost benefit analysis to come in the near future (which would be pretty positive by the way, the tourism industry’s loss is our gain in a recession.)
