A Sandy Sunday

Life's a beach

Life's a beach

On Sunday, Vrinda, one of our old friends, her husband George and her 3 year old son Percy (a.k.a. Chewbacca) came out for the day to visit us. After what seemed like ages trying, we finally found a parking space close to the pier. I guess there is an advantage to us not having a car and walking everywhere, we never have to worry about parking.

We stopped for lunch at a chain called Pizza Express that is all over in the U.K. and has pretty good pizza as well.  Vrinda and George are on a quest to visit all of the Pizza Expresses. Good luck to them on that tasty journey.

After that we made our way down to the beach which was the most crowded I have yet seen it even though it was cloudy. There were boat races taking place which were a bit interesting. There was some sand castling. George built a pyramid (complete with connecting tunnel) which David used his psychic powers to help align with Orion. Courtney and Vrinda decided to go with a larger tiered style sand ziggurat. Percy helped with both, but his creative energies were a bit too unrefined for the intricacies of sand castle building, which is serious work.

After that we went back to the ranch, had us some pasta for dinner, watched some interesting dancing on youtube and bid each other fair well until we meet again when we visit London later this month.
